iOS and Android development

Mobile app development in St Kitts and Nevis

Plenty of agencies will design an app. Far fewer have actually put one through Apple review and Google Play and kept it running afterwards. We have.

What you get

What building an app with us involves

An app is a product with a lifespan, not a one time deliverable. We plan for the part that comes after launch.

One codebase, both stores

We build in React Native so iOS and Android share the same code. One build, two stores, and fixes land on both at once instead of twice the bill.

The backend as well

Most apps need somewhere to keep data and an API to reach it. We build and host that too, so you are not stitching two suppliers together.

Store submission handled

App Store and Play Store listings, review responses, screenshots, privacy declarations and the rejections that come with a first submission. We deal with all of it.

Updates after launch

Operating systems change every year and an unmaintained app eventually stops working. We keep yours building, signed and shipping.

Built for real usage here

Offline tolerance, small screens and mobile data. We test on what people in the region actually carry, not just on the newest device.

Findable in the stores

Store listing copy, keywords and screenshots written so people searching the store can actually find your app.

How it works

How an app gets built

Every stage ends with something you can see and hold an opinion about.

We define the one job the app does

Apps fail by trying to be everything. We work out the single thing your users open it for, and build that properly before anything else.

You see the screens before we code

Real screens with real content, not lorem ipsum. You approve the flow while changing it is still cheap.

We build it and you test it on your phone

You get builds on your own device throughout, so feedback comes from using it rather than from looking at a picture.

We submit, launch and maintain

We take it through review, publish it, and stay on to ship the updates that keep it alive.

We have done this ourselves

SKN Transit is our own app, live on both stores, serving public transport and ferry schedules across St Kitts and Nevis.

  • React Native and Expo, shipped through EAS
  • Live on the App Store and Google Play
  • Backed by an API we built and maintain
  • Currently at version 6, still shipping updates
  • Handles offline and poor connectivity

Why us

Nobody else here owns this ground

Search for mobile app development in St Kitts and the results collapse into companies in Jamaica, Trinidad or somewhere off island entirely. There is almost no one in the Federation who has taken an app through Apple review, dealt with a rejection, and shipped a version six.

We have, on our own product, which means we learned the expensive lessons on our own time rather than on your budget. We know what Apple rejects, how long review really takes, and what breaks when a new OS lands.

If your idea genuinely needs an app we will build it well. If a good mobile website would do the same job for a fraction of the money, we will tell you that instead.

  • We have shipped to both stores
  • One codebase covers iOS and Android
  • We build the backend too
  • We will talk you out of an app you do not need
  • Published starting price
  • You own the code and the store listings
Questions

Frequently asked

How much does a mobile app cost?
Custom applications start at $5,500. The final figure depends on how many screens there are, whether it needs accounts and payments, and how much backend work sits behind it. We quote a fixed scope before starting.
How long does an app take to build?
Complex builds run 10 to 20 weeks including store submission. A focused first version can be quicker. Apple review itself usually takes a few days but should never be assumed.
Do I need separate iOS and Android apps?
No. We build one React Native codebase that produces both, which is why we can do it for less than two native builds would cost.
Who owns the app and the store listings?
You do. The code is yours and the store accounts are registered to your business, so you are never locked to us.
What happens after it launches?
Apps need maintenance. Operating systems update annually and store requirements change. We offer ongoing maintenance so your app keeps working.
Could a website do what I want instead?
Often, yes, and it would cost far less. Tell us the idea and we will give you a straight answer about whether it needs to be an app.
