Four things move a quote. Knowing them makes it easier to tell us what you need.
How many pages or screens
A five page site and a forty page site are different projects. The same is true of an app with three screens and one with twenty.
Whether money changes hands
Payments, bookings and accounts add checkout logic, security and testing. This is the single biggest jump in cost.
Whether it needs a backend
A brochure site does not store anything. A booking system, dashboard or app usually needs a database and an API behind it.
Who writes the content
If you supply copy and images we build faster and cheaper. If we produce them, that is real work and it is priced.

Is the starting price the final price?
No, it is the floor. Once we know the scope we give you one fixed figure in writing before any work begins, and that figure does not move unless you add something.
Do you charge hourly?
No. Hourly billing puts the risk of our estimating errors on you. We quote a fixed price for an agreed scope.
What are the ongoing costs?
Domain and hosting are annual and we tell you the figure before launch. Maintenance is optional and quoted separately. There are no mandatory monthly fees to keep your own site.
Do you take payment in stages?
Yes. Projects are normally split across milestones so you are never paying far ahead of delivered work.
What if I only need one small change?
Ask us. Small jobs are often quicker and cheaper than you expect, and we would rather do a small job well than push you into a package.
Do you work with fixed budgets?
Yes, and it helps. Tell us the budget and we will tell you honestly what is achievable within it, or that it is not enough and why.
